Tirlán has expanded its global footprint with Kilmeaden Cheese launch in Denmark

Our Avonmore Consumer International team continues to strengthen our European presence with the successful launch of our Kilmeaden Cheese range in REMA1000, one of Denmark’s leading retail chains.

Following our January rollout, Kilmeaden products have already achieved nationwide distribution and are now available in more than 400 REMA1000 stores across Denmark.

Speaking about the launch, Jack Foley, Regional Manager Europe & ROW, Avonmore Consumer International, said: “We are delighted to bring the quality and taste of Kilmeaden Cheese to Danish consumers through our partnership with REMA1000. Achieving placement in over 400 stores within weeks of launch is a testament to the strength of our brand and the appetite for premium Irish dairy abroad.”

Recognising the Team Behind the Success

This achievement was made possible thanks to the dedication and collaboration of a cross‑functional project team led by Gráinne Tarmey, with superb contributions from Eugene Woodbyrne, Eve Nolan, Mariana Gutierrez Ruiz, Maria Kennedy and Gerry Warren.

The team worked to an exceptionally tight deadline to develop a new Kilmeaden export packaging solution tailored for the Scandinavian market, ensuring product was ready and on shelves in time for the January launch. Their commitment and teamwork were critical to making this market entry a success.

This launch marks an exciting milestone for us in Scandinavia as we introduce the flavour and quality of Irish grass‑fed cheese and our proud farmer‑owned heritage, to a whole new audience. It represents another strong step in strengthening our global presence and deepening engagement with consumers worldwide.
