Cheese Hub
Tirlán’s ‘Cheese Hub’ is optimising value for Tirlán
Did you know that Tirlán produces 100,000 tonnes of awarding winning cheese annually across our two state-of-the-art facilities in Ballyragget and Wexford?
To best optimise the value of our cheese category, a collaborative ‘Cheese Hub’ was set up in H2 2022. The #CheeseHub is a cross functional team with representatives from Operations, Grading, Planning, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, R&D, Marketing & Commercial.
Commercial Associate and Cheese Hub Member Lisa Robinson Sweeney said: “The purpose of the Cheese Hub is to best align the business and return the best value for the cheese category. This is achieved by having the right people in the room working together to streamline decisions and get projects over the line. By having all stakeholders involved in these decisions from the very start, it avoids problems further down the line. A good example of the hub ‘Collaborating for Success’ has seen hub members working collectively over the last couple of months to optimise our sweet mature recipe for the year ahead.”
The 2023 Cheese Hub [pictured below] kicked off last month in the Customer Experience Centre in Abbey Quarter. During the first get together of the year, Cheese Hub members reviewed the performance of the Ballyragget and Wexford cheese plants in 2022 and looked forward to improvement projects for 2023. Cheese Hub members are also looking forward to the second phase of the cheese innovation workshop at Abbey Quarter in March and the highly anticipated commissioning of our new Kilkenny Cheese Ltd continental cheese plant in Belview.
