GoChallenge 2026: A Fantastic Team Effort
This year, we introduced a new approach to our annual step challenge by partnering with GoChallenge
Colleagues from right across Tirlán took part in GoChallenge, helping us to set positive goals, connect across sites, and stay active, even when the weather did its best to test our resilience.
An Outstanding Collective Achievement
Despite plenty of wet and windy days, participants kept going and the results were remarkable:
32 million steps completed
24,069km covered in total
To put that into perspective, our combined distance took us from the Abbey Quarter in Kilkenny to Dubai, on to Shanghai and almost all the way to Chicago. With figures like that, perhaps a journey around the globe should be our next challenge!
How It Made Us Feel
The GoChallenge exit survey highlighted the real benefits of taking part:
- 95% felt happier
- 94% felt more energised
- 90% felt more connected to colleagues
- 70% felt more productive
A special well done to the 70% of participants who reached their personal goals, a fantastic result.

A huge congratulations to our overall winning team – The Crocs, who led the leaderboard throughout.
Following closely behind were The Kangaroos, who kept the competition lively right to the finish.

Looking Ahead: The Tirlán Mountain Climb 2026
We are now turning our attention to our next company‑wide event, the Tirlán Mountain Climb in Connemara.
