Bringing Communities to Bord Bia Bloom

This year, something really special is taking shape – we’re proudly supporting the Bord Bia Bloom Postcard Gardens for the third year running

What are the Postcard Gardens?

Fourteen community groups from across the country have been selected to bring their 2m x 3m gardens to life at Bloom 2026 – and we’re right at the heart of it. Each garden tells a story, rooted in connection, creativity and community pride, showing how even the smallest spaces can bring people together.

Behind the scenes, our teams are helping make it happen

This week, we welcomed all 14 groups to our Castlecomer store, where they met our horticultural experts, shared ideas and got hands-on advice. It’s what we do every day in-store – now playing out on a national stage.

From plant selection to practical know-how, our people are helping shape these gardens ahead of their moment in Phoenix Park this June Bank Holiday weekend. Our horticulturists will also be creating their own Postcard Garden at our Bloom stand. If you are visiting, be sure to stop by and say hi!

Speaking about the Postcard Gardens

Ann Meaney, Chief Marketing & Customer Experience Officer, Tirlán said: “Every year, we’re so excited to see what these brilliant community gardeners are planning for their gardens. It’s a great reminder about how powerful even a small space can be in telling a story. Gardens are for everyone, whether you’re green fingered or a complete beginner – it’s all about the emotion and the joy they bring and we’re delighted to support each group and look forward to seeing them at Bloom.”

A Familiar Face

We’re also delighted to have Bláthnaid Treacy on board as ambassador for this year’s Postcard Gardens campaign at Bord Bia Bloom.

Bláthnaid’s passion for creativity, lifestyle and storytelling makes her a natural fit for this initiative. As ambassador, she’ll help shine a light on the incredible community groups involved – sharing their journeys, celebrating their ideas and encouraging more people to see how accessible and rewarding gardening can be.

Her support brings added energy and visibility to the campaign, helping us connect with even more people and showcase the real impact of community gardening across the country.

For the groups, this is a moment of pride. For us, it’s what we do best – supporting communities, sharing expertise and helping ideas grow.

We can’t wait to see these gardens come to life at Bloom.
