GI wins Diageo Global Brand Supply Quality Award

Glanbia Ireland has won the overall Quality category in the first ever Diageo Global Brand Supply Awards

Glanbia supplies Diageo with dairy ingredients for its world-renowned Baileys Irish cream liqueur. Receiving the award is an endorsement of the work done and dedication shown by so many Glanbia Ireland teams involved in supplying this longstanding customer.

The first annual Global Brand Supply Supplier Awards recognise and celebrate the supplier partners and agencies that drive value for Diageo by delivering outstanding quality, innovation, service and performance.

Speaking about the award win, Aoife Murphy, Commercial Director, Ingredients, congratulated all involved and thanked teams who have shown great agility in responding to the challenges caused by Covid over the past 18 months. “Throughout it all, the Glanbia Ireland team has kept excellent service and quality to the fore for this key customer and others. This quality award recognises that phenomenal team effort and I want to commend everyone for the part they played.”

To earn the quality award, the competition criteria required that the supplier had to demonstrate the outstanding quality of the goods/services that it has provided Diageo.

It was fantastic to be able to recognise and celebrate with them during our virtual awards ceremony.” The eight winners of the various categories go forward to the overall Global Procurement Awards, taking place in December.
