Avonmore Cream to deliver 1,100,000 units over Christmas week

The Avonmore Cream team are now in peak season mode and anticipate that over 1,100,000 units of cream will be sold in the final run-up to Christmas this year, 70% of that in the final three shopping days.

It all takes a mammoth team effort, with a staggering 940,000Kg of Fresh Cream produced and delivered across the month of December. The extended range this year includes 16 different product offerings. Our new limited edition flavour this Christmas is a delicious Freshly Whipped Salted Caramel Cream.

Santa himself may well be in awe of the imminent logistical feat, with 18 additional 40ft trailers and eight extra delivery vehicles on the road in the final run-up to keep the cream flowing, refrigerator shelves stocked and loyal customers happy ahead of eagerly-awaited festive gatherings with family and friends.

As well as preparing for peak supermarket demand, the catering industry will also need to be serviced more in the coming days and a whopping 85,000 units of 4 litre cream will be delivered to catering accounts.

Merchandising teams have been dispatched and together, they will clock up 4,000 merchandising hours across 600 stores to maximise milk and cream availability right up until Christmas Eve. For our own Tirlán colleagues, it will be a case of all hands on deck in stores too from the 20 th – 24 th December to help get cream on shelves for the final countdown to Christmas Day.

Our Avonmore Christmas Cream advertising campaign began on 20th November, Marketing Manager, Nikki Wallace, said. “To support our new creative platform, ‘The Cream that makes Christmas’, we have a full through the line communications campaign planned over the coming weeks, with activity across TV, Radio, OOH, Instore Activation, Digital, Social and On Street Sampling.

“We also have a new pack design for our Avonmore Fresh Pouring Cream range. Our festive flavours have started to land in store and, our new limited-edition Avonmore Freshly Whipped Salted Caramel flavour will be hitting shelves mid-December,” she revealed.

The extended Avonmore Festive Range is made up of Freshly Whipped 350ml & 585ml; Freshly Whipped Brandy 585ml; one of our biggest sellers Freshly Whipped Baileys 585ml; the limited edition Freshly Whipped Salted Caramel 350ml; Fresh Pouring 250ml; Fresh Pouring 500ml and Fresh Pouring 750ml. The latter is only in market for Christmas and it is our larger sharing / festive pack size.
